The Washington State lawmakers who are the main sponsors of SB5065, Senator Liias (D), Senator Lovick (D), and Senator Stanford (D), are pushing a dangerous bill that would ban the use of certain animals in traveling exhibitions, threatening education, conservation, and personal freedoms while destroying LAWFUL businesses.
This legislation, backed by radical animal rights groups, seeks to eliminate public access to exotic animals, stripping families of the opportunity to experience and learn about these incredible species.

►Violating this prohibition is classified as a gross misdemeanor, and local governments are permitted to enact more stringent regulations regarding traveling animal acts. The bill also includes a severability clause, ensuring that if any part of the act is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions will still be enforceable.
►Proponents claim restricting animal use in traveling performances is about welfare, but this legislation is simply the next step in criminalizing legal animal activities with the ultimate goal of incrementally removing them all from our lives
►This unnecessary and overreaching ban is not about animal welfare—it’s about removing choices, eliminating jobs, and ending human-animal connections. Join us in fighting for our rights, defending conservation efforts, and protecting the future of ethical animal exhibitions.
