TAKE ACTION to OPPOSE UNCONSTITUTIONAL LEGISLATION in NEW JERSEY

STOP NEW JERSEY S. 2454

The rule of law provides that Americans are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

However, New Jersey S. 2454 allows for confiscation and forfeiture of animals before the accused has been adjudicated in a court of law. Therefore, New Jersey S. 2454 is unconstitutional, as it violates a citizens right to due process under the Fourth  and Fifth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution,  and should be tabled.

Too often, these animal confiscations become a big payday for animal rights activists and their organizations as they raise big money from these circumstances, and often times confiscate and sell, or in their words, “rescue and adopt out,” the private property of the accused who has not yet been adjudicated in a court of law.
